Stripper

This toolkit by joncorrod focuses on the versatile nature of meshes, providing various effective functionalities for working with and editing mesh topology. Heavily inspired and driven by the concept of edge loops (Autodesk Maya and Pixologic ZBrush), the organizational data structure behind mesh construction provides a plethora of design possibilities, some of which are still being discovered today.

To contribute to that, this toolkit exposes familiar concepts to 3D artists such as:

  • Edge loops
  • Topological bands
  • Singularities
  • Mesh crawling
  • Developable strips and stripes
  • Discrete assemblies

It was built using Python and Rhino 7, so it is highly recommended to use this toolkit with the latest release of Rhino.

To get the most out of this toolkit, it is highly recommended and encouraged to combine it with the fantastic tools developed in other plug ins, such as:

  • Mesh+ (Dave Mans)
  • Weaverbird (Giuliano Piacentino)
  • Mesh Curvature (Petras Vestartas)
  • OpenNest (Petras Vestartas)
  • Pufferfish (Michael Pryor)
  • Kangaroo (Daniel Piker)
  • SubD Functions already built into Rhino 7
  • and many others…
