Part to Whole

Part to Whole by HG-A | LIVE COMPONENTS is ‘space’ defined by the whole came from the flow of repetition. The set of circles moving along the curve constructs continuous void space. It digs the specific volume out of the cube, which maximizes available space and minimizes materials at the same time.

Modular Systems

Modular Systems

This project by Vaishnavi Ramesh was a study and an exploration of how modular systems work on a fundamental level, and how they can be used in everyday design. The modular system revolves around the principle of repetitiveness to play with the figurative and structural role of design.

Mensa Table Collection

The collection includes models that use various connecting methods of bolting and self-interlock, and usually consisting of modular, birch plywood components supporting glass tops. With the use of a CNC (computer numerically controlled) router, these models were further advanced to find structural forms capable of supporting weight.
