Michaela Crie Stone lives and works in Rockport, Maine, where she creates pieces that push the parameters of function by blurring the lines between art, craft, and design.
‘Lasercut wood on leather‘ boots by Tineke Gysel was presented at the ‘Watch Our Steps’ exhibition, an exhibition that showcases the graduation works of promising Footwear designers from around the world.
Tineke studies at the Academy of Fine Arts in Sint Niklaas – Belgium, where she designed her ‘Woodhide Geometries’ collection that consists of 4 pairs of shoes.
The shoes are made of laser cut bamboo on leather, an ecological material that is used more and more in fashion and interior. For this collection Tineke was inspired by her love for Scandinavian interior design and Art Deco.
