In this Grasshopper tutorial, I will teach you the grasshopper basics for beginners to advanced. First I will talk about the Grasshopper canvas and basically how Grasshopper works and then I will teach you how you can use the grasshopper tools to produce a smooth surface with Sweep1 and turn it into a mesh model. We will also cover the most used plugins in our tutorials.

hi, my version is Rhino7 . I try to Plog-in the Lunchbox and Weaverbird but I think the virsion is too old. Is there the Rhino7 version for me to download?

    Attachment  isotrim-fail.zip

somehow the isotrim is not working. I have no idea why. Is it working in your version of rhino, can you see what’s wrong otherwise?

Hi Arnoud, I have opened your script and it works fine. What is your Rhino and Grasshopper version ?

  • Arnoud

@rezae Newest version of rhino, downloaded it two days before I did this exercise. It’s student license but don’t think that should matter

So, I opened the file again. That night I was working with the screen on lowest brightness, so I didn’t notice it. But now I notice that the trim function is working, but the display shows both the unaffected version and the trim version at the same time, leaving only the outlines of the affected version to indicate something is actually happening.

Does anyone know how to fix this?

  • Arnoud

It has been resolved. I didn’t realize yet I needed to turn off the preview for all the previous panels. I assumed only the result at the end of the chain would show. Beginner mistake, moving on ūüôā

Yes! It’s a common mistake I forgot to notice.
