Mesh Edge Connection

In this Grasshopper tutorial, we’ll walk you through the process of transforming a mesh into interconnected components.

We’ll start by offsetting and filleting the mesh faces’ borders.

This action will produce two types of edges:

– the straight line edges
– and the curved, arc-like edges.

Using the straight edges, we’ll create a flat surface via lofting.

For the curved edges at the mesh corners, we’ll craft a smooth Nurbs surface. Once done, we’ll merge the flat surfaces with the corner connections into one unified surface. To finalize, we’ll add thickness to this surface, prepping it for 3D printing.
