Parametric Design furniture

Michaela Crie Stone lives and works in Rockport, Maine, where she creates pieces that push the parameters of function by blurring the lines between art, craft, and design.
In this project by Kai Zhang, designer used bristol paper as construction material. After playing around with paper and exploring possible forms he used grasshopper to parametrically generate the lamp’s form. Many random components were used in his algorithm to mimic the randomness of nature. By. Simply changing the parameters, he got different results.
